The reason why fans are so excited about keeping Boly is due to how influential he’s been on the pitch. The centre-back has made 25 appearances in all competitions this season, winning 13 (52%), drawing nine (36%) and losing three (12%). In the 24 games Boly has missed, Wolves have managed 10 wins (42%), seven draws (29%) and seven defeats (29%).

The 29-year-old has made 103 appearances for Wolves since 2017 – he initially joined on loan from FC Porto and turned the move permanent a year later. Wolves wanted to tie Boly down to a new deal back in October, but his fibula injury led to talks being delayed. Now it looks like his future will be at Molineux for many more years which is great news for Nuno, the club and its supporters.
