Wolves have confirmed the signing of West Ham’s Nouble.

Please note this is Frank Nouble rather than Mark Noble, who New York City Wolf linked with a move to Molineux early this morning! (Obviously something got lost in translation across the pond).

The striker was released by West Ham following the end of his contract and Ståle Solbakken has moved quickly to make him his second signing of the summer.

After passing a medical he signed a two year deal with the club.

‘Frank is a player that our scouts have been watching. We think he has qualities that we can develop and with his physical strength and power I feel that he can help us.’ Solbakken told Wolves Official Website.

He added: ‘He should be a useful acquisition to the squad and it is a good opportunity for him to come to a stable club and work hard.

‘I think this is a win-win situation for both the club and the player. He is a young guy and he can add to his potential every week.’

The 20-year-old has played for a whole host of clubs on loan since leaving Chelsea for West Ham in 2009 and this is where the majority of his experience has come from.

He has had short spells with West Brom, Swindon, Swansea, Barnsley, Charlton and Gillingham during his career.

Last season he played for West Ham, Gillingham (in League Two) and Barnsley, making 25 appearances and scoring 6 goals (5 for Gillingham).
