Jed Wallace’s Wolves career is seemingly coming to an end as the former Portsmouth midfielder is close to completing a permanent transfer to Championship rivals Millwall, according to the Express and Star.

Wallace, who has had two loans at Millwall in the past 18 months, ending last season with the Lions and helping them to Championship promotion during his 17 appearances, has a year left on his contract but is set to become the first of several Molineux exits.

Having paid a reported £250,000 to Portsmouth to sign Wallace, 23, in 2015, he has been limited to just 23 first team appearances for Wolves with it unclear if that fee, which has reportedly been agreed, would be recouped.

Previous boss Paul Lambert was keen to reduce the numbers and his replacement Nuno Espirito Santo is expected to do the same, having already signed Ryan Bennett and Roderick Miranda.
