Having already announced our Uhrencup matches abroad and the Stoke City friendly for this summer, we now head to Pride Park to take on Frank Lampard’s new Derby County side as he takes his first managerial job in the game. This match takes place on Saturday, July 28 and will carry a kick-off time of 3pm.
Prior to that, we head to Walsall’s Banks’s Stadium to take on Ajax on Thursday, July 18 and that match carries a 2pm kick-off slot.
The big clash of the summer at the Molineux a week before the top-flight campaign kicks-off sees us play host to La Liga side Valencia. This game kicks-off at 3pm on Saturday, August 4.
Ticket details for these new matches will follow.
It’s fair to say the announcements caused some confusion on social media – one game in particular – which should be a stand out for the quality on show.
Afternoon kick-off I assume it'll be development squads.

I’m guessing pitch issues answer the Ajax question as it would be strange to confirm a solitary Under 23 fixture under the tag of ‘Nuno’s squad’.
