Having been shown a red card for daring to celebrate on the pitch with his Wolverhampton Wanderers players at the weekend as we took victory over Leicester City last Saturday – head coach Nuno Espirito Santo immediately held his hands up to the rule breach.

Plenty was spoken about the referee on the day, Chris Kavanagh, as he curious failed to repeat the punishment in the earlier in the season where Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp did exactly the same thing as they took victory over Everton, but hey ho.

With Santo holding his hands up in his post-game interviews, when the Football Association sent their charge in the expectation was he’d admit to it, and in doing that Sky Sports were one of many to report yesterday evening that he had been slapped with an £8,000 fine for his ‘improper conduct’ in the game.

Having seen a hattrick from Diogo Jota and the stoppage-time winner in the game, I’d say £8k well spent as we took a 4-3 victory.
