Tommy Rowe could miss the rest of the season for Wolverhampton Wanderers following an operation on his broken metatarsal.

The 26-year-old who has made seven Championship starts and seven substitute appearances for Wolves since making the moving to Molineux from Peterborough in the summer picked up the injury after coming off the bench against Watford.

Rowe fractured his fifth metatarsal and underwent surgery on Monday, he is out of action for at least three months.

“Tommy has had an operation and will be out for about three months,” Jackett told Wolves Official Website.

He continued: “It`s an amazing situation that will all the training he has done, he struck a ball up the line within two minutes of coming on at Watford and the injury happened.

“It was really frustrating and that has been Tommy`s season so far.

“But he has the quality and the personal commitment in abundance and he will come back and, whether it`s the end of this season or then next season, he will still be a very good Wolves player.”
