Well, we’re back down there again and this time I fear for us getting off so quick this time.
Fixtures coming up are going to make it very difficult for us to make any move up the table, not impossible but difficult.
These next few weeks will be a challenge but if we can hang in there we do have an easier time of it towards the latter half of the season, but we do have to stay in touch otherwise we will give ourselves too much to do.
We spent a lot of money, £18 million and have utilised only £3 million of it?
I hope whatever amount spent in the coming month is better used? I would love to know the reason we signed Fletcher, I really would, it defies belief that with our limited budget, such a percentage could be squandered.
Its not as if Fletcher has had a run in the team and played badly! He just has not been given a chance to see what he can do for us. The ‘five full back’ approach will now have to come to an end, hopefully with a new signing and Fletcher now given a couple of ‘starts’ up front.
We paid a lot of money for him and I do feel sorry for the lad, he should at least be given a chance! Otherwise I fear he will be given a chance instead to show us his skills in the ‘fizzy pop’ league next season.
At the end of the season it could well be that our form against teams around us has been very poor and that could be our downfall, the results against so called big teams have all gone to waste as we’ve lost nearly all the games against lowly opposition.
By the time we play Arsenal on Feb 12th we should have a clearer picture, I hope its not a gloomy one.
