According to AS, Wolverhampton Wanderers ‘would be willing to sell’ Raul Jimenez for €100m this summer. The 29-year-old has been outstanding in his two years at Molineux and has interest from Juventus and Manchester United who ‘love him’.

Despite past reports suggesting Wolves were keen on selling Jimenez and lowered his asking price to push through a sale, it’s clear the Black and Gold are desperate to keep the Mexican international and consider him indispensable.

Which club did Wolves sign Raul Jimenez from?

Juventus aren’t willing to pay more than €50m for Jimenez and could include Daniele Rugani and Federico Bernardeschi as part of the swap, but there’s little incentive for Wolves to accept. The 29-year-old has three more years on his deal and boasts more Premier League goals (14) than all but five players this season.

Wolves would struggle to sign a replacement striker with the 29-year-old’s goal output for €50m, so it does no good having Rugani and Bernardeschi as part of the deal. United have been linked, but it’s hard to see them matching Wolves’ asking price either.

Jimenez has scored 23 goals and made 10 assists in 45 games in 2019/20, so the Black and Gold surely won’t let him go without a sensational player lined up.
