Both Manchester City and Liverpool are interested in signing Adama Traore, with Wolves facing the prospect of being forced to sell the winger, a report from The Daily Mirror has claimed.

Traore enjoyed an outstanding campaign with Nuno’s side last season, and has been called up by Spain for their two Nations League games at the start of next month.

However, it seems as though Traore could be on the move this summer, with the latest reports claiming that Nuno has been told he will have to sell players this summer, if he is going to bring new ones to Molineux, due to the fact that club owners Fosun International have been heavily hit by the ongoing global situation.

As a result, it is thought that with Nuno being determined to retain the services of top scorer Raul Jimenez this summer, Traore could be in line for a big move this summer.

The Premier League’s top two from last season, Liverpool and Manchester City, have both been credited with an interest in Traore, with both clubs apparently viewing the 24-year-old as a potential impact player.

As things stand, there are three years remaining on Traore’s contract at Molineux, putting Wolves in a strong position to negotiate any offers that come in, and the club are said to be hopeful that either Liverpool or City make a substantial enough bid for the Spaniard.

Given the contribution that he made to Nuno’s side last season in particular, it would be sad to see Traore now leave Molineux this summer.

However, Wolves are going to have to add to the numbers in their squad this summer, and it seems as though they are going to raise their own funds in order to ensure that they are able to do that.

As a result, with Traore’s ability, resale potential and interest from elsewhere making him a prime candidate to attract some big offers over the next few months, it seems that we may have to accept the prospect of saying goodbye to the winger sooner rather than later.
