When you are in a battle, you need people to step up and run through that metaphorical brick wall for you.

Someone who will put their neck on the line and fight through the pain for the glory of Rome (erm sorry, been watching a few episodes of Spartacus recently……..)

In recent weeks Jamie O’Hara has been playing through pain barrier for Wolves.

The Wolves midfielder requires pain-killing injections just to get through training following a double hernia operation last month.

You do not ever want to hear about a player putting themselves through that, especially a talented 25-year-old like O’Hara, but at least its clear just how determined he is to fight for the Wolves cause.

‘I’m still trying to get back to full fitness. I’ve been having injections before training and games.’ O’Hara said to the Birmingham Post.

He continued: ‘I’m just desperate to play and don’t want to miss any more games. I’ve had enough of that with being out for six weeks so I’m fighting with things a little bit.

‘Hopefully over the next few weeks, things will settle down and I’ll be able to play pain-free.’
