Wolverhampton Wanderers confirm Boubacar Hanne has signed a new deal and will spend the rest of the season on loan at Grasshopper Club Zurich.

The 20-year-old joined Wolves from Pacos de Ferreira in 2017 but has yet to make a first-team appearance. As per Transfermarkt, Hanne has made 11 appearances for the u23s, scoring two goals.

A lack of playing time at senior level saw the Portuguese striker spent last season on loan at Jumila. He made 33 appearances in all competitions for the Spanish side, scoring five times.

Grasshoppers are currently third in the Swiss Challenge League with 34 points from 21 games. They’re one point of second-placed FC Vaduz but haven’t been in good form of late.

Ulrich Forte are winless in their last four games, losing three and drawing one, so they could benefit from some fresh blood in the squad.

Hanne will have competition from Nassim Ben Khalifa, Danijel Subotic and Francis Momoh for competition up front. He’ll have competition from Oliver Buff, Amel Rustemoski, Fabio Fehr and Giotto Morandi in an attacking-midfield role.
