According to TodoFichajes, Jurgen Klopp ‘personally telephoned’ Wolverhampton Wanderers over Adama Traore’s availability. Liverpool could lose Sadio Mane this summer and are working to ‘incorporate a replacement’.

Traore is coming off the back of a prolific campaign under Nuno Espirito Santo and is regarded as one of the best natural wingers in Europe due to his impressive dribble success rate and his much-improved end-product.

Wolves are desperate to hold on to their best players to push for a top-four/top-six finish in the Premier League next season, so Liverpool may be met with some resistance in their pursuit for the 24-year-old.

Traore joined Wolves from Middlesbrough in 2018 and has gone on to make 79 appearances in all competitions, scoring seven goals and making 13 assists.

This season, the Spaniard has had a hand in 16 goals from 43 games while making 145/195 successful dribbles (74%) creating 38 chances and whipping in 144 crosses with 21.5% finding a teammate.

There was talk of Liverpool having to pay £60m for Traore this summer, but it remains to be seen if they’d lodge such a bid and if Wolves would accept it. That’s not to say Traore wouldn’t improve their side, but the Reds don’t need another wide-man while Mane is still on the books.
