Wolverhampton Wanderers came from behind to beat Norwich City 2-1, courtesy of goals from Romain Saiss and Raul Jimenez, but it was far from a vintage performance. Saiss, in particular, struggled in the first-half at Carrow Road, but he impressed after the break and earned plaudits from supporters on social media.
Norwich took the lead through Todd Cantwell in the 17th minute after Saiss failed to clear his lines, but the 29-year-old atoned for his error in the second-half. Saiss equalised on the hour mark with a brilliant header before Raul Jimenez scored the winner in the 81st minute.
Had a disaster first half (he wasn’t alone) but probably his greatest asset is that absolutely nothing phases him. He was his majestic best second half.

Another one of our under rated players who probably doesn’t get the praise he deserves

I’ve said this since we signed him. Quality player

So much love for saiss lately, gets a yellow card every game for the punters, loves a header, just a baller. My boy 👊🏻😎 #wwfc

Romain saiss is slowly turning into a cult hero. One of our most important players. He also earns me a small fortune in yellow card bets. #wwfc

Against Norwich, Saiss played for 90 minutes, made 68 touches, won seven aerial duels, completed 79% of his 57 passes, whipped in two crosses, made one tackle, completed 10 of 13 long balls, committed three fouls, made five clearances, blocked one shot and scored one goal.
The Moroccan international has made 23 appearances in all competitions, scoring three goals. Saiss is a regular at centre-back under Nuno Espirito Santo and has been on the losing side just once in his last 13 Premier League outings. He was the villain of the first-half at Carrow Road but ended as the hero.
