Could Southampton striker Emmanuel Mayuka be on his way to Wolverhampton Wanderers on loan?

Wolves head coach Kenny Jackett has worked his way down his long list of potential striking targets.

Having lost out on Callum Wilson, Chris Wood, Max Clayton, Andy Delort, Patrick Bamford and Danny Graham, Jackett has moved his attentions to the 23-year-old Zambia international.

Southampton signed the striker from Young Boys of Berne in August 2012 for a fee in the region of £3million.

He still has three years left on his contract, but is a long way down the pecking order at Southampton.

He has made just 13 appearances for Southampton, including one league start.

Last season he joined French side Sochaux on loan scoring 4 goals in 21 appearances.
