Wolverhampton Wanderers beat Bournemouth 1-0 on Wednesday evening and Jonny Otto was one of many players to impress at Molineux. The 26-year-old was resilient at left-back, keeping Jack Stacey and David Brooks quiet while limiting Bournemouth’s right-hand side to only one accurate cross over 90 minutes.

Against the Cherries, Jonny made 55 touches, completed 86.2% of his 29 passes, whipping in one cross, making three tackles, attempting four long balls, making three interceptions, winning three free-kicks and making two dribbles. The Spanish international has made 40 appearances in all competitions this season, scoring one goal and making two assists.
Jonny joined Wolves from Atletico Madrid for £18.45m in 2019 and has gone on to make 79 appearances across the board, scoring two goals and making four assists. The 26-year-old has three years remaining on his deal at Molineux and is keeping Ruben Vinagre at bay due to his consistency at left-back.
Wolves’ victory saw them end the day sixth in the Premier League table with 49 points from 31 games, two short of fourth-placed Chelsea and level with fifth-placed Manchester United. Champions League football is attainable for next season.
Wolves face strugglers Aston Villa on Saturday and could go fourth in the table if result go their way.
