With speculation this week linking Wolverhampton Wanderers as having a potential interest in Mexican international defender Edson Alvarez, it appears the suggestion has gone down well amongst fans.
To save overly repeating the initial story I’ll copy it in.
The 21-year-old seems to be predominantly a centre-half and that’s where he plays for his country, but he’s also supposed to be quite versatile so whether that means fullback or maybe a more defensive midfield role is open for debate.
He reportedly only has a £7.7 to £8million release fee in his deal, even though he’s under contract at Club America until 2022 and during the last January transfer window there was supposedly strong interest from Scottish giants Celtic.
With an obvious link to Raul Jimenez here, plenty feel he would be an ideal punt as we look to strengthen this summer for the Premier League and Europa League campaigns ahead.
Sign him up Wolves! Good, young two way player. A winner.

He and his partner guido Rodriguez are the best midfield in all America, young player probably the best defensive midfielder under 23.with World Cup expierence

Well he’s only 21 and defensive players go under the radar a lot, haven’t seen him play at all personally but don’t write him off for being Mexican if he does sign
