Wolves have made an offer to Birmingham for Roger Johnson, if agreed it will equal the club-record fee paid for Steven Fletcher a year ago.

Last summer we splashed out around £7million on striker Fletcher, the year before we paid around £6.5million for fellow striker Kevin Doyle.

However it isn’t clear if the offer will be enough, with Birmingham according to the E&S demanding £10million for the 28-year-old.

Reading`s Matt Mills has also been receiving attention from our Mick, with another reported offer made for the 24-year-old.

Local papers believe Mills will leave Reading for less than £3.5million, while the E&S believe we have offered £3million, so a deal could be close if Mills rejects a new contract offer of £30,000-a-week to remain at the Championship outfit.
