It’s a busy end to the month for Wolverhampton Wanderers and whilst all eyes are on Thursday’s Europa League clash with Slovan Bratislava, there’s the Newcastle United game to consider before we face fellow eleven pointers, Aston Villa, in our EFL Cup tie.
Highly rated Wolves Academy graduate, Benny Ashley-Seal, helped himself to a brace at Under 23 level earlier this week as we played out a seven goal thriller with Liverpool, and given the 20-year-old’s performance and continued development, plenty of fans are hoping to see a little bit more of him in the Villa game as head coach Nuno Espirito Santo will no doubt be shaking up the first team squad for freshness reasons.
Eight goals in five games now for Benny Ashley-Seal who scored a brace this afternoon for the U23s. Not enough to avoid a 4-3 defeat to Liverpool though, for whom Rhian Brewster also scored twice. Boubacar Hanne netted Wolves' other goal #wwfc

He’s certainly having a decent season at Under 23 level and with Nuno already speaking about turning to youth, and already including a few, given his current form and making the presumption that despite the derby nature of the Villa game, we’ll see further changes for that one as we prioritise the EL, he could well get a shot.
Play him against the villa

If villa wasn’t such a big rivalry, he would be starting.
