Wolverhampton Wanderers enjoyed a 2-1 win over Bournemouth on Saturday and Raul Jimenez was one of many players praised for his contribution over the 90 minutes.

Despite having little rest time in between international duties and domestic commitments, Jimenez got on the scoresheet over the weekend and somehow also lasted the entire duration of the game.

After Joao Moutinho opened the scoring for Wolves with a fantastic free-kick in the 21st minutes, Jimenez doubled their advantage after the half-hour mark. Adama Traore was freed on the right and square the ball for the 28-year-old who couldn’t miss from close range.

As per WhoScored, Jimenez had 41 touches, won two aerial duels, created two chances, had seven shots with four on target, completed 83.3% of his 24 passes, made one tackle, had one successful dribble and made one clearance.

This season, the Mexican international has scored and created 17 goals in 23 games. He’s netted in his last three league appearances for Wolves and is one of the hottest strikers in the top flight.
