Barry Douglas is effectively a Wolves player, the Konyaspor left back, who had also been linked with Celtic, saw pictures of him holding aloft a shirt accidentally leaked onto the clubs YouTube channel.
This led to Wolves announcing they had ‘agreed a deal in principle’ to sign the Scottish defender from Turkish club Konyaspor, a year into a three and a half year deal signed when joining them from Polish club Lech Poznan.

According to the Express and Star, former Dundee United defender Douglas, 27, had ‘been at the training ground to discuss terms’ and an official announcement should come early next week once ‘the finer points of the deal’ are concluded.
Wolves must be confident enough of the deal going through if an interview was already being conducted in advance of the announcement, which caused the leak and need to clarify the situation.
A left back has been needed at Molineux for some time, Douglas looks set to fill that void as he becomes the fourth defensive arrival of the summer.
