Wolves target Sheffield United Player of the Year Harry Maguire.
Wolverhampton Wanderers Head Coach Kenny Jackett clearly wants to improve the sides midfield ahead of the move back to the Championship next season.
If rumours are to be believed not only are Wolves chasing Coventry City midfielder Franck Moussa, but also Sheffield United midfielder Harry Maguire.
The interesting thing with these rumours are that both are out of contract in the summer with their respective League One clubs and both are young, with Moussa 24 and Maguire 21.
That shows that Jackett is still determined to build a squad based on young talent, rather than spending big in the hopes of winning back-to-back promotions and a quick return to the Premier League.
However unlike Coventry, who have all but given up hope on retaining Moussa for next season, Sheffield United are very keen to keep hold of the England Under-21 International.
“Negotiations have started, I think Harry is happy and likes playing for the club.”
“He`s a home bird and we`d hope to get something settled as well. But he`s still maturing as a player and person. I think there`s a lot more to come from him.” Sheffield United manager Nigel Clough told the Sheffield Telegraph.
He continued: “Harry has got the right people around him giving him the right advice, Let`s say, for example, if he was 24 or 25 and we still weren`t in the Championship then I could completely understand him looking around because he`s got the ability to play at a higher level.
“You can`t buy the experience he`s getting from being involved.”
