Wolverhampton Wanderers have pouched a promising young talent from the Burton Academy.

The fresh faced youngster pictured on Burton’s official website only looks about 12-years-old in his academy photo which was taken last year, but the 16-year-old midfielder Regan Upton has made the move for an ‘undisclosed fee’ after our scouting network spotted the youngster who had been playing for their Under-18 side.

Vital Burton believe The Brewers could be in line for a five-figure fee eventually, assuming the kid actually makes it in the game, as these kind of deals circulate on appearances bonuses etc, but they do also receive an up front payment.

‘Regan came to join us when we first set up the academy and he`s made great strides. He was an under 15 last year who progressed very well through the system. He`s played in the under 18s and a few clubs saw his potential.’ Burton Albion Head of Youth Mike Whitlow said to Burton’s Official Website.

‘He`s a fantastic lad and he`s progressed well. Wolves have come in and he`s stepped up to their academy which is a big step for him and a credit to himself and to what we are doing in our academy.`
