It’s official, 22-year-old Barnsley winger Adam Hammill has joined Wolves for an undisclosed fee.
Previous reports had suggested the fee would be around £500,000 as it was thought he had a get-out-clause in his contract stated that if a bid matched that figgure he was automatically allowed to discuss personal terms.
Obviously with the fee undisclosed we won’t know if that was true or not.
We also won’t know if the rumours linking Blackpool to Hammill were true either.
What we do know, is that Hammill has signed a three-and-a-half-year contract at Molineux and the new recruit sounds delighted.
‘Wolves are a massive club and I’m pleased to be getting the chance to try and play Premier League football,’ he told Wolves Official Website.
‘I think my ambitions go hand in hand with the club’s.’ (I hope those ambitions are to avoid the drop this season!)
