Boss McCarthy and defender Jody Craddock have played down media suggestions that Wolves have now done enough to avoid the drop from the Premier League.

An unbeaten run of 4 games has catapulted Wolves up the Premier League table.

We now sit 14th, 5 points clear of relegation on 32 points.

With Portsmouth dead and buried following their points penalty, the relegation places are down to 2 spots currently occupied by Burnley who also look down and out and Hull who have shown they still have some fight left following their win over Fulham.

“We`re still looking over our shoulders at relegation’ McCarthy told the Express & Star.

He added: “When it`s mathematically certain that we`ll finish above three teams – then I`ll get rid of my poker face.’

“I`m not sure how many points we need -maybe six’ Craddock also told the Express & Star.

“We aren`t safe until it`s mathematically done and dusted, so we just need to keep it going. A lot of people thought we were going to go down, and it isn`t over yet. We can`t be thinking we`ve got enough points because we haven`t yet.’

Vital Wolves Comment: How many points do you think we need? Are we nearly safe? Or do you see us struggling over that finish line?
