It was being reported yesterday that Wolverhampton Wanderers had made an enquiry about the availability of Barcelona centre-half Yerry Mina.

The 23-year-old caught the attention of quite a few people out at this summers World Cup in Russia but his game time at the Nou Camp has been severely limited as he’s only made four starting appearances for them, with a further two showings from the substitutes bench.

Following his stock rising at the World Cup he’s been linked with a move to a number of clubs, not least Everton but the line has generally been that he wanted to fight for his place at his current club and was not interested in a move to the Premier League.

Sky Sports were reporting that there had been a change of plan though and that he was now keen on a move to England – either permanently or on loan – so subsequently we’d asked about the possibility of a deal being done.

There’s very little of substance in the report to be fair and it all hinges on the ‘change’ of approach to his future, so I’m not entirely sure I believe this one and would be surprised if anything actually comes of it.
