Wolves Reportedly Still Keeping Their Eye On Emerging Scottish Talent

|

Fans with long memories will remember that Wolverhampton Wanderers were linked with a potential swoop for highly rated Hamilton Academical centre-half Jamie Hamilton as the summer transfer window made the switch from April into May.

The original report was brief and didn’t have many bones on it, but it certainly seemed to fit with the twist we’d seen at Under 23 level as we place a greater emphasis on players for the future.

At the time, the 17-year-old had yet to feature for their senior side, but having recently stepped up to Scotland’s Under 19 side, he now has two appearances for Hamilton, and had he not picked up a straight red card in his second showing, he could well have had more games this year.

The Daily Mail have again linked us with having kept an interest in the player, but they now namecheck Everton, Norwich City, Derby County and Southampton as keeping tabs on him.

Again, whether there is anything in this remains to be seen, but he is impressing so I’d be surprised if we weren’t keeping an eye on him.
