It was being reported yesterday in some corners of the press that Wolverhampton Wanderers had opened talks with Sparta Prague over striker Benjamin Tetteh.

The claim came from the Daily Mail so at the moment we can take it with a pinch of salt, but they state that Galatasaray have already had a £7million offer rejected, and with his club holding out for £11million, that’s what we’re tempted to go in with depending on how the talks progress.

The 21-year-old is a 6ft 4in Ghanaian and he’s said to be in good form at the moment. Having been compared to former Chelsea winner Didier Drogba, he has the strike rate with a reported nine goals in 17 games so far this season.

Given his build and with Wolves clearly on the hunt for a striker to take some pressure off Raul Jimenez and increase our goal rate up front, he at least sounds like the right sort.
