If you were a neutral looking at the League One table and seeing Wolverhampton Wanderers sitting on top of the table, you’d probably think all was right at Molinuex.
And lets be honest you wouldn’t really be far wrong.
Considering the disappointment of back-to-back relegations from the Premier League and Championship and into the third tier of English football, results have been excellent.
The problem is, the performances haven’t done much to inspire. A lot of our points gained have been more than fortunate and even whilst we were winning, the alarm bells for some were still ringing.
After the mid-week disappointment of crashing out of the FA Cup in the first round, the third early round departure from a Cup competition this season, Wolves Head Coach Kenny Jackett wants a response from his side.
“Hopefully we`ll have some players back in terms of team selection, If we can get something like our best side out that is what we need to do. Sako missed Tuesday night as a precaution. We don`t know yet whether he`ll be OK for the next few games.” Jackett told the Express & Star.
He continued: “We need to bounce back,” he said. “Tuesday night hurt. It was a disappointing performance and disappointing for the fans.
“We`ll have to show a big improvement. We didn`t show enough appetite and the structure and play around our passing wasn`t good enough.
“We do look at the bigger picture and three big games coming up so we have to get on to that quickly and learn lessons from Tuesday night.
“We need to be better organised.”
