Matt Murray the out of luck Wolves goalkeeper will be out of action for a number of months, following his latest set back over his injured knee.
Murray returned to action for the first time in a year against Birmingham in the reserves league, but was quickly pulled off after damaging his patella tendon.
“Matt won`t be fit until next year,” Wolves boss Mick McCarthy told the Express & Star.
Wolves had hoped it was just a precautionary measure, but he will remain out of action for the majority of the season.
McCarthy went on to explain: “I know we`re in December now, but it`s going to be months. There`s no surgery required, but he needs to get the knee sorted out.
“I don`t really know the extent of it but he`s going to be out for a few months.”
Vital Wolves Comment: A big disappointment following his brief return to reserves action recently.
