Wolverhampton Wanderers FA Cup winner Des Horne has died at the age of 75.

The Durban-born winger was signed by Stan Cullis in 1956 and he made 8 appearances during the 1958/59 season when Wolves won a second consecutive League Championship.

He also claimed an assist during the 3-0 win over Blackburn Rovers at Wembley in the 1960 FA Cup final.

He scored 18 goals in 52 games for Wolves before joining Blackpool in March 1961 where he made 120 appearances over a five year spell before moving back home to South Africa.

As a mark of respect the flags at Molineux have been lowered to half-mast.

Everyone at Vital Wolves would like to pass on our condolences to his friends and family.
