I’m not really sure you can describe Rafa Mir as Wolverhampton Wanderers’ forgotten man but it hasn’t stopped some as he continues to go from strength to strength during his loan spell with Las Palmas, and also, for his country at the Spanish Under 21 level.

The 21-year-old youngster clearly has talent and plenty of fans hope and expect that he’ll have a big future with us as he continues his development and rounds his game off more and the October international break has simply given fans, even more, to shout about.

In their game against Iceland the other day, Mir hit a brace in a 7-2 victory in his first start to take the plaudits and if I’ve got my figures right it means five goals now in only four appearances.

You can’t argue with that record and at club level, he has three goals in eight games, so he’s coming along just fine and it really should only be a matter of time before he gets a chance to build on his two appearances for us following his arrival from Valencia.
