With Wolverhampton Wanderers bouncing back to form in recent games, we stuttered against Liverpool but Fulham was probably the more disappointing on Boxing Day as despite more dominating and having slightly more chances at goal, we could only take a point.

The game looked to be filtering out really but the hosts at Craven Cottage got their noses in front with just over 15 minutes left to play in the game, but Romain Saiss struck before the full-time mark to ensure we took a point and at least returned to unbeaten ways.

Statistics website Whoscored gave their star man rating to our goalscorer on the day, awarding him 7.82 for his efforts on the day.

32-year-old Joao Moutinho also received the exact same score given his own performance across the 90 minutes and the top five on the day were completed by Willy Bolly (7.28), Jonny Castro (7) and Ryan Bennett (6.98).

Tottenham Hotspur next up on Saturday and given their form that will be particularly tough, but we’ve shown ourselves capable of upsets already this season so there’s no reason to doubt we can’t cause another one.
