Wolverhampton Wanderers slipped to a narrow defeat in last weekend’s tie against Brighton and Hove Albion.

Glenn Murray’s 100th club goal just after the half-time restart was enough to send them to victory in a game we utterly dominated and in no way deserved to lose. They scored with their only effort on target though and despite 25 attempts overall, we couldn’t get the better of their keeper as goalscoring issues once again raise their head.

It was also back to back defeats for head coach Nuno Espirito Santo.

Despite the disappointment from the result and our mini dip in form, plenty of positives can again be taken from the performance and their keeper was in inspired form to keep us out and on any other day we’d have taken at least a point, if not the victory.

With Doherty getting WhoScored’s Star Man rating, the top five were completed by Ruben Neves, Joao Moutinho, Ryan Bennett and Willy Boly.

Fans shouldn’t be too worried though, we knew there would be dips this year and you don’t always get what you deserve in football.
