Wolverhampton Wanderers were denied victory at the Emirates Stadium as hosts Arsenal hit back late on to level matters up in Sunday’s Premier League clash.

Having taken the advantage with Ivan Cavaleiro’s goal in the 13th minute, Arsenal dominated possession across the game but we did more with the ball when we had it and bossed chances on the day. Unable to double our advantage on the day, we were always susceptible as every team is at 1-0 and Henrikh Mkhitaryan saved their blushes with four minutes remaining in normal time.

Matt Doherty took Whoscored’s star man rating on the day for his performance with a rating of 7.56 but Jonny wasn’t far behind him as the 24-year-old received 7.46.

Goalscorer Cavaleiro picked up 7.43 and the top five on the day was completed by Ryan Bennett and Raul Jimenez.

We remain in eleventh place in the top tier table and had Morgan Gibbs-White’s effort not rebounded off the crossbar in stoppage time head coach Nuno Espirito Santo would’ve been prouder than he was at the fulltime whistle.
