Wolverhampton Wanderers’ social media team were in a particularly playful mood last night and fans were more than up for playing along.

The tease was, of course, related to the speculation that had hinted we were on the cusp of capturing Portuguese international Joao Moutinho and given Donald Trump was probably the only person on the planet who was incapable of putting that together, it wasn’t overly drawn out before waiting fans were given the confirmation they wanted.
We are delighted to confirm that @JoaoMoutinho has signed for Wolves on a two-year deal. #BemVindoJoão

The 31-year-old experienced midfielder has put pen to paper on a two-year deal at The Molineux and he becomes the third new face to arrive this summer. As fans will probably know he’s the third highest capped player in Portugal’s history and he comes in with a wealth of success at international level and club level.
He was an addition that plenty were looking forward to once it appeared he was on our radar and as we go into the Premier League campaign, his experience will be massive for us given the more youthful nature of some of the others in our first-team setup.
.@JoaoMoutinho had this message for the supporters after arriving at Wolves. #BemVindoJoão
