Wolverhampton Wanderers have confirmed that they have held talks with Wigan striker Nouha Dicko.
The 21-year-old French striker spent a month on loan at Molinuex towards the end of last season.
He went on to make four appearances, but only one start, scoring once.
This season he has impressed during a brief loan spell with fellow League One side Rotherham United, scoring five goals in five appearances.
But despite his recent spate of goals, he is surplus to requirements at Wigan and looks set to return to Wolves.
“Nouha Dicko was here for talks which will go on over the weekend, I`ve been concentrating on the game but I knew he was due here to speak to Jez and Kevin Thelwell.’ Jackett told Wolves Official Website after the win over Preston.
He added: “We are working very hard at trying to improve the squad now we have an opportunity with the window open.
“There are a few options that we have but I don`t think there will be numerous additions but vital ones.
“What we want is a complement to what we have here already.”
As well as the possibility of signing Dicko, Wolves have previously been linked with Bournemouth striker Wes Thomas and Coventry City forward Leon Clarke.
28-year-old Clarke who originally comes from Wolverhampton, has scored 28 goals in 41 appearances for Coventry since joining them on a free transfer 12 months ago.
Reports over the weekend suggested that he has handed in a transfer request.
