Wolves have ‘problem engaging’ 32 y/o’s demands, club offer €5m-a-year, player wants €7.5m

|

According to TuttoJuve, Wolverhampton Wanderers have a ‘problem engaging’ with Gonzalo Higuain’s wage demands. The Midlands outfit have offered the 32-year-old €5m-a-year (£4.47m-a-year), but TuttoJuve say Higuain wants closer to €7.5m-a-year (£6.7m-a-year).

Juventus are interested in Raul Jimenez this summer and are willing to exchange Higuain in a deal for the Wolves striker, but a breakdown in contract talks may prove a stumbling block in getting a deal over the line.

Which club did Wolves sign Raul Jimenez from?

Higuain looks on his way out of Juve in the coming months after falling out of favour under Maurizio Sarri and struggling for form. The Argentine international has scored just five goals in 23 Serie A appearances this season and is in the final year of his deal.

Wolves are reportedly open to selling Jimenez this summer and are on the hunt for a centre-forward that can lead the line. They’ve been linked with Carlo Vinicius, Danny Loader, Hee-Chan Hwang or Emmanuel Dennis, but whether Higuain should be on their wishlist remains to be seen.

He turns 33 in December and underperformed during a short-lived Premier League stint (five goals in 18 games for Chelsea), so why would Wolves offload one of their best players to bring him in?

Unless Jimenez requests a transfer, it’s genuinely hard to see him leaving. Higuain would break Wolves’ wage bill and is in the eve of his career, so it may not be a good business decision.

Tutto juve are the new fountain of knowledge for lies it appears. Its about time the cretins that pump out these made up stories began getting sued by players and clubs for spreading baseless lies.

Hope Wolves keep Raul Jimenez and forget all about Gonzalo Higuain. At 32 and going into 33 in six months time he’s past his best while compared to him Raul is a gem and I sincerely mean it. Can’t understand if this is true that Wolves will be selling Raul for just £18 million. On the other hand I agree with Mr Majika on what he said about Juventus the club that wants to buy cheap and sell expensively masterminded by their president Signor Andrea Agnelli who in a few years wants to ruin football with a closed shop Champions League.

I cant understand what these people are thinking, too much drink and drugs during lockdown. I have more chance of being next king of england than raul being sold for £18 mill. Get back with the living you fools.
