Daniel Podence could make his debut for Wolverhampton Wanderers against Manchester United on Saturday. According to BBC Sport, the 24-year-old ‘may be involved’ at Old Trafford after joining from Olympiacos on Thursday. Supporters are eagerly anticipating his first Wolves appearance and will surely hope he can make the difference against the Red Devils.
Great business getting Luke Matheson in today. Definitely one to look out for in the future. Bennett going was a bit of a surprise but get why. Would like to have seen a striker come in but hard to play ahead of Raul. Can’t wait to see what Podence can do… #wwfc🐺

So many fantastic options we now have with Jota, Raul, Neto, Podence and Adama, so exciting. Bring on the last part of the season. #wwfc 🐺

So that's it, another disappointing window if I'm totally honest, not going to bang on about it, it's done and we move on now. On the plus side, a lot of young talent signed for u23's, hopefully ready to step up if needed. Onto yanited tomorrow and podence debut 🙌🏻#wwfc

Podence is a class signing

Maybe Wolves didn’t get the striker they would have wanted to back up Raúl.
But they did land the one player they really wanted Daniel Podence 🐺
Lots gone out to gain experience.
In NUNO we trust 🧡
I do hope Raul don’t get injured though 🤞 #wwfc

Podence an exciting talent – mouthwatering wide options.
Loidice & Campana could prove to be good first team additions, while there's a lot of hope for Matheson.
But Nuno wanted new players, only brought 1 senior man in. Towed party line & said he's happy – telling truth? #wwfc

Podence made 68 appearances in all competitions for Olympiacos, scoring and creating 27 goals. The Portuguese forward contributed 10 goals in 27 games this season and will strengthen an already talented Wolves attack. The Midlands outfit also wanted a striker as cover for Raul Jimenez, but there’s a lot of buzz about Podence’s signing.
Ahead of Saturday’s meeting with United, Wolves are seventh in the Premier League with 34 points from 24 games, having lost three and drawn one of their last five. Nuno’s side have fared better on the road of late, picking up 10 points from their previous six away outings, so they shouldn’t be discounted.
With Podence, Adama Traore, Diogo Jota and Pedro Neto available, Nuno may have a selection headache against United.
