Tuesday evening’s EFL Cup second-round clash between Sheffield Wednesday and Wolverhampton Wanderers at Hillsborough saw the club book their place in the third round draw with a 2-0 victory following second-half goals from Leo Bonatini and a Helder Costa penalty.
Head coach Nuno Espirito Santo made a number of changes to the starting lineup and there were plenty of positives to take from the game that saw Bonatini’s first goal since last December. Amongst the nine changes we saw a debut for Belgian international Leander Dendoncker as he continues adjusting to life at the club and £18million man, Adama Traore got his first start.
Amongst the changes by Nuno, we also saw appearances for youngsters Elliot Watt who also made his debut, Ruben Vinagre and Morgan Gibbs-White.
One man took the attention of fans as he posted on social media – Kortney Hause.

The England international youngster has seen his game time severely limited under the new gaffer and he only got minutes last season on the pitch, so a relatively solid performance in the game from him was a boost to everyone.
