Wolverhampton Wanderers may well have already held personal talks with Vadim Demidov and agreed a fee with Real Sociedad, but a deal is far from complete.
On Tuesday, the 25-year-old central defender flew into England with his agent to hold talks with Wolves chief executive Jez Moxey.
Wolves and Spanish side Real Sociedad have agreed a fee of around £1million for the former Rosenborg man, but the Norwegian International has also got interest from German club Eintracht Frankfurt.
Born in Latvian Soviet Socialist Republic his family moved to Norway when he was a toddler and he has represented his adopted country on 15 occasions.
“It`s still ongoing at the moment,” Moxey told the Shropshire Star on Wednesday afternoon.
He continued: “Hopefully we`ll have something to say in the next 24 to 48 hours, but it`s not as clear-cut as some people would like it to be.
“There`s interest in him from other clubs and we`re looking at other targets as well.”
Vital Wolves Comment: Was this the target that Ståle Solbakken had mentioned when discussing the future of Jody Craddock?
