Wolves coronavirus update: Players and staff learn immediate fate – report

Players continue to train as normal while administrative staff have been asked to stay at home due to the coronavirus outbreak, according to reports.

With the Premier League and the Europa League being suspended, many clubs have been taking different precautions, which include some clubs being in “lockdown” due to players self-isolating, some closing the training ground out of precaution, and some are just carry on as normal.

As the Express and Star report, Nuno’s squad to continue to arrive at Compton Park as they await developments for the suspension of all the competitions they have entered.

At the moment, with everything well in the air, there have been no announcements regarding the rest of this season, however, a teleconference is set to take place tomorrow including all member countries and stakeholders.

Within this meeting, both international leagues and European competitions will be discussed – so it’s a big meeting for supporters and employees of the club.

On Wednesday, the EFL will be meeting, before Premier League clubs will discuss on Thursday, as per the previous report.

In other news, all staff which have been impacted by the closure of Molineux have been told they will be continued to be paid in full, which will, of course, relieve a lot of anxieties for the many staff who work there. The megastore, ticket office, museum and conference facilities will all be closed until early April.

Jeff Shi has come out and said he will do all he can to protect the players, staff and supporters, which will mean a lot to supporters.

There aren’t many things that are more important than football to many of these fans – but health should certainly be one of them. And by the chairman reassuring staff that they will be paid, that can hopefully ease some worries during a very stressful time.
