Wolves can still finish this season in the top half of the Premier League according to gaffer Mick McCarthy.
As is the case every season, the McCarthy out bandwagon is in full swing, with many supporters wanting a fresh face in charge of the team.
Going into the crucial game against Wigan this weekend without a win in eight, many might even begin to put their money where the mouth is if we begin the new working week without a win in nine.
But if McCarthy felt he was under pressure to keep his job, as ever, he doesn’t show it.
In fact instead of looking behind in fear, he is still looking ahead and eyeing our best finish in over 30 years.
‘I said we were capable of it with all the points that had got away last season, But we`re not capable of it if we keep losing points now. If we win on Sunday we`ll be on 11 points before Everton and Chelsea away.’ our Mick told Express & Star.
He continued: “Of course it`s possible but we need to win a game, and Sunday is our next opportunity.
“We`ve had a tough time but what if we turn it around like last season when we took seven points out of 12 towards the end? We`re going to have to find that form again.”
A win on Sunday could see Wolves climb as high as 13th, which could then place us within one point of the top 10.
