Wolverhampton Wanderers’ summer transfer rumour mill has already linked the club with a move for Atletico Madrid left back Filipe Luis and only one outlet seems to fuelling the speculation.

To save repeating the original claim I’ll simply copy in for those not aware.

Wolves Hoping To Offer 33 y/o Free Agent Another Option But I Doubt It

The 33-year-old is soon to be out of contract given how football regulations work across the month of June and Goal have again linked us with an interest with him over the weekend. The difference this time is they aren’t reporting that he’d prefer to receive a contract extension and that he’d like to stay in Spain, they have added the word Barcelona to the speculation.

They additionally now claim that he already has offers on the table from Wolves and French Ligue 1 Champions Paris Saint-Germain, but the thrust continues to be, he’ll remain in Spain given he knows the league and at his age he’s not looking to try and adapt to a new level.

I doubted this one to begin with as it more stemmed from the fact Jorge Mendes is his agent, and it didn’t make sense with Jonny Castro on our books and our high hopes for Ruben Vinagre.

Makes a decent headline though but fans certainly shouldn’t expect it to come off.
