ACCORDING to the Express & Star rumours page, Stoke City are about to make a £750,000 bid for Wolves target Adam Lallana.

Mick McCarthy wants to unite Lallana with Andrew Surman who recently joined Wolves from Southampton.

But Stoke look set to spoil the party by creating a bidding war for the England Under-21 international.

Yesterday we reported that Wolves were preparing to up our own failed bid of £500,000, but with Southampton under new ownership any bargain buys look to have already left the shelves.

Vital Wolves Comment: Lallana was once linked with Fulham for £5million, so £500,000 always looked a bargain, but I think when we signed Surman we bought the better player, so I hope we do not up our bid too much.
