Wolves manager Mick McCarthy has proved that it doesn’t cost millions to find success in The Championship.

After pulling together a squad for less than £1.5 million, he finds himself in teh play offs, two matches away from the biggest prize ever offered for a single game of football

‘When I came in I never had any preconceived ideas about where we would finish the season and to make the play-offs at the first attempt is a good achievement.’ he said. ‘We haven’t had the money to spend that some teams have, but what money we have spent has been invested wisely.’
