Winning breeds confidence was the overall message from Wolves gaffer Ståle Solbakken following the win over Leicester at the weekend.

Before the game the Wolves boss had set Leicester as a benchmark, for his Wolves side to learn against.

Despite their slow start to the Championship season, Leicester are expected to be one of the teams battling for promotion this season.

With Solbakken putting such a high emphasis on the game, the victory should help to raise moral around the squad following the Premier League relegation hangover which has been so well documented.

“The only thing you can do is win games to help with that last few per cent of confidence, I think we still have to be braver and make sure we are not afraid of playing.’ Solbakken told Wolves Official Website.

He added: “If you are going to be successful, not only in this league but also in the long-term as a football club you need to have your own identity.

“You need to know what to do when you have the ball and also when we don`t have the ball.

Vital Wolves Comment: The need to find our identity is a line that Solbakken has used before, are we any closer to finding it after this win?
