On Tuesday evening Wolverhampton Wanderers held their end of season awards dinner and it was always going to be a good celebration given how we’ve adapted to our return to Premier League football.

Plenty of highs across the season with a seventh place finish in the top flight and possible European adventures next season, tallied with our Semi-Final run in the FA Cup, meant it’s been a good season on all fronts.

The big winner on the night was Joao Moutinho as he lifted the Player of the Season award, but his efforts across the year meant he wasn’t the only player recognised.

Raul Jimenez took the Players’ Player of the Season award and he obviously lifted top goalscorer for the year.

Diogo Jota took Goal of the Season home for the team effort against Cardiff City at the Molineux and Ruben Vinagre took Young Professional of the Year.

All in, a top night and plenty will say the awards should’ve been shared by the whole squad given their efforts in 2018/19.
