With wins over Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester City this season, we have to be the first side with results like that to be bottom of the table.
But those wins have come amongst 16 other defeats, giving up points to all the teams around us in the table.
With Sunday’s derby against Albion quickly followed up with a game against Blackpool, two wins will see us exit the relegation places and put some daylight between ourselves and the bottom three.
“We hope we`ll be alright if we can replicate the performances we`ve shown against the big teams. If we could do that against those around us, that would make a bigger difference to the table.’ Doyle told the Express & Star, before continuing: “We seem to do it the wrong way around – I prefer it the other way.”
“We believe we`ll stay up. Believing in it and doing it are two different things but if you believe you will, it gives you half a chance.”
