Wolves 24-year-old defender Stephen Ward is looking forward to a return to training next week.

Ward underwent cartilage surgery in August and is now on schedule for a return.

“Hopefully I`ll be ready to join in full training at some point next week,” said Ward to the Express & Star.

He went on to add: “I`ve still got a bit more fitness work before joining in with the rest of the lads but I`m there or thereabouts.

“It`s good to be fit again – it feels like I`ve turned the corner.”

Vital Wolves Comment: With Mick admitting that he has put too much pressure on George Elokobi, it will be a boost to get a fit a ready Ward to challenge for a first team spot.
