A goal from Robert Taylor with just three minutes of the game remaining gave Port Vale a narrow win over Wolves in a competitive friendly at Vale Park – Official Site

WELL bang goes our 100% record in pre-season games so far this season! Like it really mattered!

It is all about fitness and the lower league sides see it as their chance to shine.

Jarvis was the man who picked up a goal for Wolves in the 2-1 defeat to Port Vale with Vale scoring in the final few minutes to give the Vale fans something to cheer.

But as they all say, it’s all about fitness and nothing should really be read into the result.

Vital Wolves Comment: Do you think we should read anything into the result? Win, lose or draw, pre-season games appear pointless to me. They might as well just hold training matches to pick up fitness.
